My husband had his right leg amputated in 2001. Five years later he needed a new wheel chair. The health insurance company didn't cover that expense. Unbelievable!!!
I had a hysterectomy in 1993. While performing the surgery the doctor decided it would be advisable to also remove my appendix. The insurance company wouldn't pay for that because it hadn't been included in the original diagnosis.
The whole American system makes me so angry. I lived in England for 13 years (my husband is English) and I know that national health insurance does work. Every other civilized country has national health insurance. Why can't we?
