I have worked with far too many people who cannot afford health care. They cannot pay the premiums private companies demand and many cannot follow the regulations of these companies. I have seen the effects of no medical care for children and I have seen elderly people go without what they need.
The folks with whom I work are decent, hard working people who cannot afford the costs; their jobs do not pay enough and most have jobs where there are no health benefits provided. In short, America is fast becoming a nation where the majority of Americans have no or poor health care.........is this right? If we invested in less tanks and missiles and dealt with disagreements diplomatically, maybe there would be more money available to provide care. It is high time, we really did something concrete and practical and life-giving for the Sarah Does and John Does who make up a huge portion of this country.
