I was held captive for 15 years by a horrible insurance company (Continental General) that raised my insurance every 2-3 months to $1600.00 a month. My husband and I were almost to retirement age and we lost all of our savings because of these people.
I don't know what was worse, the apying out our noses and knowing no one would take us because we had pre-existing conditions, or that fact that when we needed coverage, they wouldn't cover anything.
Finally the ole experation date ran out on my hip replacements and since I was healthy, I finally found someone to take me (until I turn 65) for $800.00 a month. Can you imagine, I think that's cheap?
Still working my --- off to pay for health care,
Connie Volkman
