My husband is a self-employed attorney. He has two part-time secretaries, and one of them has two high-needs children. My husband has always provided insurance coverage for both secretaries, as well as the two children. Now, after 32 years as an attorney, he is finding insurance costs rising so quickly and so much that he can no longer afford to insure his employees, himself and me. Of course he is mandated to provide insurance for his employees, so it looks like he and I will be left out of the equation. Something is very wrong with this picture.
