Paul

Tulsa, OK

We just buried my father-in-law. He died of liver damage and subsequent failure as caused by Hepatitis-C. He was unaware of his plight and also did not have health insurance. He spent weeks in the hospital and was in and out of nursing homes and hospice care. Even with Medicade, the cost of his illness is immeasurable and is a debt that will never be paid and will cause his wife, my wife's step-mother, to lose everything. Also, the estate is in a trust, with everything being left to my wife. However, the trust is liable for his bills so all the cars, family heirlooms, house, etc... will be sold to pay his debt, leaving my wife nothing from her father.

To add salt to the wound, my wife's mother also died of Hep-C five years ago. She has little to nothing left to remind her of her parents.
