As one of the millions of American citizens without health care benefits I am completely disgusted with the lack of compassion and respect in our government. They send soldiers to fight their agenda wars and then strip them of health care if they are lucky? enough to return.

I am one of those who is caring for the health and safety of others with developmental disabilities and have no benefits of any kind to care for my own health and safety. I have worked with the disabled, the abused and neglected and mentally disabled people from 0 to 99 for more than half my life...twenty six years!

Although I am proud to say even with all the lack of benefits, I am still blessed because not having medical benefits has forced me to take more responsibility for my overall health choices which has lead to my taking better care of myself. Having already lost 250 lbs. on my own, I am on my way to feeling better everyday. But am very concerned for five knee surgeries and the need for complete knee replacements is immanent and as a Foster Provider, I do not believe I could withstand the financial burden surgeries like these would bring to our lives.

Thank You for all you do to ensure that the American public is cared for.
