I pay high monthly fees for my health care. The problem is Blue Cross Blue Shield is a private monopoly where I live, so I have no choice even if cheaper health care options were available.

My girlfriend has no health insurance.

Privatization has destroyed everything good. Look at the results with the military. The US Army vs. Blackwater privateers. Isn't affordable health care a national security issue?

How many have died because they couldn't afford the outrageous fees of insurance companies? And are health insurance companies any different (or less insidious) than credit card companies?
