Susan

Las Vegas, NV

We retired early 3 years ago and are on our last month of a CAL Cobra (though we now live in NV). My husband has diabetes and other problems, so his only option is a HIPAA policy which costs at least $900 or more a month. I thought I would be eligible for a more reasonably priced policy, but because I take more than 2 medications (asthma, GERD and triglycerides), looks like I too am in the high priced area - so we'll be spending a minimum of $1800 a month but this does not cover us until a $1500 deductible, and in my case, won't do much since my main costs are the medications. So I'm looking at about 4 months of paying my own way, despite having insurance. We are not rich by any means, though I used to think we could stay retired. Now I'm thinking I'll have to go back to work - for my husband, I don't think it's possible due to his various ailments. WE need help!!
