I have stage 4 breast cancer. I am almost in remission and take no cancer drugs. I am stuck in a dead end job which takes half my paycheck to pay for my insurance premiums. I have an oppertunity to take a job that pays way more money than I earn now doing work that is much more in line with my passions but has no health insurance coverage. I resent the fact that no insurance company will touch me because of my pre existing condition. Do I stay in my dead end job that I don't like at all because it offers high cost health insurance or do I take a job that will feed my soul and make me happy plus make me a little richer and take my chances? I am opting to take my chances and work on my health issues without the help of health care providers who overcharge for everything. I am not afraid of dying and have no intention of taking chemo or any of the other toxic drugs prescribed for cancer. If I lived in any other part of the industrialized world I would be able to work where I wanted and still be taken care of. Not here!!!!! Shame on America for not taking care of it's citizens. I have worked all of my life, pay my taxes, volunteer and help my co workers, neighbors and family. Shame on America for leaving me in this situation.
