Self employed. The plan is $7,500 dollar deductible per person with $643 dollar a month premium. My wifes medication is over $2000 a month of which we are responsible for half. She is disabled. We pay over $18,000 dollars a year for insurance and prescriptions that still require us to pay out of pocket if a member of my family has to go to the doctor. In Missouri $18,000 dollars a year is more than a lot of people make in a year. Because of the prexisting condition we cannot shop insurance. I have two daughters, one in college the other in two years. You tell me how anything short of universal single payer health care will relieve my situation.
