The Senate Finance Committee will be meeting Tuesday to continue writing their health care bill, focusing on coverage. What does coverage mean? It means they will be discussing how to reform the insurance industry so they can’t deny pre-existing conditions. It means they will be discussing how to get everybody in America covered. And it means they will be discussing giving us a choice of a public health insurance option, so we’re not left at the mercy of private insurance. These hearings are the main way Congress formulates its ideas. What ends up in the health care reform bill is directly affected by what these Senators hear right now.
